I'm a mother of 3; son-11, daughters-8 and 4. I left Corporate America to run my own advertising consulting business from home and work with a friend to grow her business, too. I try to make each day better than the one before.

8-29-2009 Breakfast at Crossroads every Saturday...The Sventeks & Whitings...nice tradition that has been going on (and off and on again) since I was prego with Tyler
back in 2000. Lately, Crossroads is the location of choice. Here are my daughters, my sis and my niece/Goddaughter. Abigail, Kaylin, Justine & Hannah. Actually, the waitress in the left-background is our "regualr" waitress - she knows most of our orders by heart.

8-28-2009 One of my best buds, Theresa, had her birthday on the 26th, but we had to wait until today for her birthday lunch. She randomly came into my life about 7 years ago when she started at Citadel. I'm really not that good with dates, it just so happens that I was "slightly" pregnant with Abigail when she started - that's how I remember. Anyway - funny how life brings people to you...she and I just click on so many levels. Her amazingest trait - she can keep a secret like no one I've ever met and she is the most loyal friend ever. My favorite thing about her...her laugh...she laughs so hard that you can't help but join her and before you know it, you can't breath and you have tears pouring out of your eyes! Love ya, T!

8-27-2009 Today is my Mom's birthday. I love my Mom. What can I say, she's always been a fantastic Mom to me and she is an awesome Grandma to our kids...the kind of Grandma any kid would be blessed to have. She has this magic drawer at her house that seems to grow little pieces of candy each time the kids stop over...even when they arrive unannounced! She always did that stuff for us as kids,too...well, not exactly, but in theory. All the things - sewing costumes...birthday cakes...teaching me to drive...teaching me to ride a 2-wheeler...driving me to gymnastics or ballet or girl scouts and any friends' house for any number of birthday parties...for driving from Vestal to Montrose to "coach" our cheerleading squad when no one else would...all of this stuff that I didn't realize was so heartfelt until now, when I have my own kids to do these same things for. I do it for them, with love, becasue I had a spectacular teacher. Love you Mom!

8-26-2009 Today was the first day of school. I think that we are all ready to get back into some sort of routine, so this is a good day. Tyler and Abigail were very excited to see all of their friends and check out their new classrooms. I was very excited to be able to get back to the gym and then work, uninterrupted, for the remainder of the school day!! Hannah had a blast at daycare and got right back into it as if she hadn't missed a single day. Of course, we had to celebrate with ice cream after school...fantastic day, all the way around. :-)

8-25-2009 OK, so it's not the beginning of a year or anything, but I figure it is a good a time as any to start a 365 photo project (inspired by Stephanie Florimonte Ferreira - a friend from high school that has re-entered my world through Facebook). Today is the last day of summer vacation for the kids. I have this friend who is fantastic...you know, one of those people who always thinks of everything. She set up a "Get Back In The Routine" breakfast bash at her house for a handful of familes and then even called the Montrose Theater and asked if they could play Aliens in the Attic at 11am for the kids. How cool is that?!?! 8 or 9 moms and 20+ kids...what a great day. We topped it off with a quick little pool party at our house. Kids are bathed & asleep, clothes are out, bags are packed, alarms are set...bring on 1st and 3rd grade!!!!
